Redefining Wealth Management

Most financial advisors charge a fee based on your investment balance. If your investments grow, the fee automatically goes up , even though the advisor isn’t necessarily doing more work. Over time, people end up paying far more than they expect.

Advisory services without traditional conflicts

We charge a flat annual fee that does not change just because your account goes up or down.

You know exactly what you’re paying every year, which keeps costs controlled and removes the built-in incentive for an advisor to gather more of your assets simply to increase their fee.

We also provide access to investment opportunities that most advisory firms do not offer. This includes private equity, private credit, venture investments, and other opportunities that are usually limited to large institutions or very wealthy families. These investments are not right for everyone, but they can offer different risk and return characteristics than what is available in the public markets.

Our role is to: help you make clear financial decisions, manage your investments thoughtfully, and give you investment access to options that are often hard to reach elsewhere, all with transparent pricing.

No percentage-based fees. No surprises. Just a cleaner, more practical approach to managing your finances.

Sam Caspersen

Chief Executive Officer

Meet Our CEO

Sam Caspersen has fifteen years of experience managing investment portfolios within a family office – with a focus on portfolio construction, including material allocations to private equity, and tax mitigation.  Sam has conducted due diligence on more than 300 alternative investment managers across different asset classes. This experience informs Valorem’s disciplined approach to private investment selection, sizing, and long-term portfolio design.

Sam, a graduate of Harvard Law School, began his career as a trusts and estates attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell, advising high-net-worth families on tax and estate planning, and later served as counsel to investment firms and a wealth management firm. Earlier, he was investigative counsel to the federal 9/11 Commission and a contributing author to the Commission’s Final Report

At Valorem, Sam’s work is guided by three principles: trusted advisory relationships built on transparency, tax-aware investing integrated into portfolio decisions, and selective use of alternative investments to improve long-term, risk-adjusted outcomes.
